Spring Classes 2010

Kindergarten – 1st Grade - Thursdays, April 1st – May 20th @4:30 to 5:30 p.m., $125
“Theatrical Make-Believe”: The K-1st grade will learn about the art of conveying emotions and actions without words – pantomime. Come join us in taking everyone’s favorite game of ‘Make Believe’ to the next level.
2nd – 3rd Grade - Tuesdays, March 30th – May 18th @4:30 to 6 p.m., $165
“Developing Imagination”: Get the creative wheel turning in this class as we open up our minds to all the things we can imagine. 2nd – 3rd grade students will be encouraged to create original characters and stories from their own imagination. Dreamers, thinkers and creative storytellers wanted!
4th – 6th Grade - Wednesdays, March 31st – May 19th @4:30 to 6 p.m., $165
“Improvisation/Building Confidence”: Want to build your confidence on the stage and in life? Come play in the fun-filled world of improv. Through games, scenes, and fun exercises, 4th – 6th grade students will learn to think on their feet, react to their scene partners and trust their creative instincts.
7th – 8th Grade - Mondays, March 29th – May 17th @4:30 – 6 p.m., $165
“Improvisation”: Come have fun with the 7th – 8th grade class improvising scenes, characters and silly situations. In this class you will also learn the helpful hints and rules of good improvisation.
9th – 12th Grade - Mondays, March 29th – May 17th @7:00 to 9:00 p.m., $175

“Character Analysis”: Using creativity and classic acting techniques, 9th – 12th grade students will learn to breathe life into characters – whether those characters are from classic or contemporary playwrights; comedies or dramas.
Adult Acting - Tuesdays, March 30th – May 18th @7:00 – 9:00 p.m., $165
“Scene Study”: This adult class will guide performers through rehearsals culminating in a performance of a scene from a play. Come gain some acting tools that you’ll be able to take with you to church dramas, community or professional theatre experiences.
